RULES
There are a few rules for this ring.
- If your site has adult content e.t.c.
do not submit your site, it will not be added to the ring.
- You MUST have the HTML fragment on
your page before you will be inserted into the ring.
- It must be easy to find so we don't have
to search for it. It doesn't have to be on the front page, but you must have
a link to your rings on the main page and the URL you submit must be the URL
the ring is on or the ring won't work. After you have the code up E-mail the
Ringmaster of Dept. 56 Webring and ask her to add you to the ring. Be sure
to include your Site ID Number in the e-mail message. She will probably want
to look at your page to make sure it is worthy of addition and make sure the
Dept. 56 Webring HTML fragment on your page is okay.
Here is a handy new graphic that can be used
for linking your main site to your page that features the Department 56 Web
Ring info. Feel free to copy it and use it on your web site. You may also
link the graphic to my server. The HTML code for the graphic is
<IMG SRC="http://www.iolinc.net/mlake/gifs/dlogo.gif" border=0 alt="Department 56 Web Ring Page"></A>
- After checking out your page, the
Ringmaster will take your Site ID Number and use it to add you to the ring.
You should then receive an e-mail telling you you've been added.
That's it! You should now be able to navigate
the entire ring until you make it back to your own page (although it may take
a while). An easy way to make sure it is working is to go to the homepage
of the person who added you and see if the next button takes you to your own
page.
If you're having problems adding this
fragment to your page, please feel free to email the Ringmaster by clicking here.
Useful Information: The Dept 56 Ring has its
own id, like your site. The site id is the number given to you upon registration,
the ring id is "dept56".
