56.69307 and is entitled "The Man In The Moon". It will retail for
$27.50. The piece features two Snowbabies on a base along with
a gold ornament hook, coming from the base and extending over the top of
the two Snowbabies. On the hook is an acrylic moon face, in detail,
smiling down from the sky. One of the Snowbabies is pointing up towards

Historic Office The was the newest piece in the D56 Profile Series for 2002. It is the Wells Fargo Historic Office. I was recently able to order more of these. Jack's Umbrella Shop"
| Dept. 56 and the NCC (National
Council of "56" Clubs) have gone together again for another special piece
- or should I say pieces. A total of 5 variations of the "Under the
Bumpershoot" will be made in addition to the black one. The figures
are identical, except for a new color on the umbrella. YELLOW, RED, and
GREEN were released in 2000. The final two colors will be announced in 2001.
One was announced at the Mid-Atlantic Gathering in Williamsburg. It is BLUE
and pictured below. The final color in the series is SILVER, and was announced
at the D56 Silver Anniversary. Each piece is made in a special box identifying
the color and additional info about the piece.
For the NCC 10 Year Anniversary D56/NCC are coming out with "Jack's Umbrella Shop." It is a special lit house. Visit the NCC56.com for more official info! |

This was Heinz's newest Profile piece for 2001, which is the Heinz Town Clock. Unfortunately, Heinz will not have a new piece for 2002. We can only hope they will continue their tradition next year! |

| This is the newest piece of the Profile Series. The new State Farm Firehouse is on its way! It is reported that 50000 will be made. The brick work is identical to the State Farm office. The firehouse is smaller and taller thought. It's "officially" called "Fire Station No.1" It is 10"x6"x7". I have a couple of these for sale if you need one. Please email me for all the details. |

| This is the newest piece of the Profile Collection. It is the Heinz Hitch. These were available to Heinz employees for Christmas gifts. It might be available to the general public later on in 2000. Habitat House - "A Home
in the Making"

| "A Home In The Making" (Set of 5) is the name of the piece that D56 is doing for Habitat for Humanity. It depicts a house undergoing construction and the enthusiast workers putting it all together. A portion of the $95.00 purchase price will be donated to Habitat for Humanity International. It is being released first to Carson Pirie Scott & Company, Bergner's and the Boston Store. The piece should become available at the stores somewhere between mid and late October. This is a Snow Village house. To order by phone call 1-800-374-3000. |
Lord and Taylor Flower Cart

| D56 is once again making an exclusive
piece available to the Lord and Taylor Department Store Chain. This is their
version of the "Flower Cart."
This new piece is a Lord and Taylor exclusive version of the "Flower Monger Cart" accessory. As you know, it has two parts: the lady with a flower basket in hand & one on the ground, and the cart with the umbrella. The cart has the "Lord and Taylor" logo on the side of it. The ad says "Created expressly by Department
56 for our Heritage Village Collection." 27.50 plus shipping, direct from

Heinz Grocery Store!!!

This is the NEWEST piece of the Profile Series!This brand new building has been manufactured by Department 56, Inc., for the H.J. Heinz Company. This lit-house was presented as a surprise 1998 Christmas gift to many Heinz employees, and the piece will go into production to be offered as a "Profile" Series piece by H.J. Heinz Company to its stockholders. The piece is dated 1998 and carries the Department 56 logo on its bottom, and also reads "Made Exclusively for Heinz."Lighted and dated 1998, this new Department 56 Heinz Grocery Store was commissioned by H.J. Heinz Company, and at the current time, it is believed it will NOT be available to the general public. It is the sequel to the first piece - 1996's "The Heinz House" - which is a replica of the first H.J. Heinz home in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania. The new piece is packaged in a box (not a sleeve) emblazoned with Heinz old-fashioned advertising on all sides.The building has a turret, under which is a recessed front door. A hanging pickle is suspended above this door. The two ground floor windows are filled with pyramids of Heinz products. It has matte (porcelain) finish and would fit nicely into any Village display. |

| Thursday, August 27, 1998, was a turning point in the
history of the NCC. For more specific information on the NCC itself, please
refer to the NCC web site at http://www.ncc56.com.
During a press release party at the Department 56 Showroom
in Eden Prairie, MN; CEO Susan Engel along with Customer Service Manager
Judith Price announced and unveiled the "NCC Collectors Club House." This
time limited, exclusive lighted piece and accessory are available only to
NCC affiliated club members. 1) This matte finish piece includes: b) There is a village display set up and recessed in the front bay window of the house that lights up when the house itself is lit. c) An included accessory features a man and a woman each carrying a Snow Village and a Heritage Village shopping bag respectively. d) A special box and under stamp will be included.
Porcelain house, measures 8"X6"X6", and features a Village scene displayed in the window. Sign in front can be personalized with your club's name or logo. Club decals will be available through your club after all orders are received. Bottom stamp will include special decal for this exclusive piece. Not part of a series - can be displayed alone or with either Village. Available only through the NCC and your local D56 club. |
Lord and Taylor Coach

Dept. 56 made a coach for the Lord and Taylor department store chain.
As you can see, it's
basically the Fezziweg Wagon painted different with the Lord and Taylor
logo.

1998 Mid-Year Releases
On May 15th D56 announced their 1998 mid year releases. Much to my
surprise there
were very few new intros. This made me happy though! I have the complete

It's the twin to the new "East Indies Trading Company" for the Dickens Village. This exciting news was told to me by the GREAT folks at the D56Pride in Canada Thank you guys for the news!! |
Department 56
State Farm
This is the State Farm 75th Anniversary Building. As you can see it has a Barber shop on the left hand side of the building, the front entrance with the dome top is a drug store and the State Farm office is on the right hand side with a hanging State Farm sign and two people in the window.This new D56 house is called "Main Street Memories" and is taken from a painting by Randy Souders. This painting was apparently used in a company promotion in 1994 and showed street life in the 1930's. -Agents have been told they can order up to 10 houses. 50,000 will be available for shipping starting Oct 20th. Orders over the 50,000 will be shipped after Xmas as soon as they are available from D56. -Price was $35.50 plus tax where applicable. It is now anywhere from $75 - $100! - Has been described as a brick building, 7x7x7... has a State Farm sign hanging over the door. It is our understanding that some agents will not allow you to order if you are not a customer of theirs. It is also my understanding that some agents are telling people that they have no idea what they are talking about when they ask. We don't know if they really don't or just don't want to be hassled with it. I wish you the VERY best of luck in getting this NEW Profile! |
It's that time of the year again when new 97 Snowbunnies are out. I reported the Retirements in June. Here are FOURTEEN new items to pick up. The collection has on new Limited to ONE year of Production, "Double Yolk". The stamp on the bottom of these pieces have been replaced with a engraved date. The line also has a new concept, Hinged Boxes and Pink Fences. When ever I find pictures I'll add links. I hope this is helpful to you! |
